About Me
Soleman Imbiri, SP., M.Si is a lecturer at Agribusiness Study Program, Social Economy of Agriculture Department, Agriculture Faculty, University of Papua (UNIPA). Soleman has joined the UNIPA since December 2002 after completing his SP (bachelor of science in social economy of agriculture) in August 2002 from Agribusiness Study Program. Soleman obtained his M.Si in environment resources management and development in 2010 from University of Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia. As a lecturer, he has teached several subjects such as agricultural product marketing, strategic management, planning and evaluation of project, statistics, introduction to environmental science, introduction to management, and basic social and cultural science. From 2005-2006, he has become a consultant for CIFOR and ILO. Then, from 2011-2012, he has worked as a Project Cashier AGRI4 MDF Pacifik Indonesia, a facilitator for local community in Siwi Village, Manokwari Regency, a member of the working groups of the Commission’s Research and Development in HIV/AIDS in Manokwari Regency, and a secretary of Vice Dean I at Technology and Agriculture Faculty, UNIPA. After that, he worked as a head of operational office cooperation between UNIPA and LPMAK (the Community Development Institute Amungme and Kamoro) in Mimika regency since June 2012 – September 2014. After that period, he was in charged as a Coordinator of Student Affairs at the Medical Education Program (PSPD) Faculty of Medicine, UNIPA in Campus II Sorong (August 2014 – June 2016) and has become Vice Dean of Student Affairs at the same faculty from May 2016 to February 2017.
Between 2002 and 2020, Soleman has done several researches related to his expertise in agribusiness and social economy of agriculture. In 2020- 2024, he undertook a PhD program in Project Management, UniSA STEM, University of South Australia, under Australia Awards Scholarship. In this period, he become a Member of Scarce Resource and Circular Economy at UniSA STEM, University of South Australia.
